Why this exists

Why I created Ask the PhD

AI is moving fast, but most educators are still being asked to respond without enough time, support, or translation. I created Ask the PhD to make AI more understandable, more useful, and more thoughtfully integrated into higher education.

This is not about hype. It is about helping educators, leaders, and institutions think clearly, act strategically, and use AI in ways that actually improve teaching, learning, scholarship, and decision-making.

"The question is not whether to use AI. The question is whether we are equipped to use it well — and to help our students do the same."

— Dr. Ali Green, Ask the PhD

The approach

My approach

I believe AI in education should be approached with both curiosity and discipline. That means asking better questions, testing tools thoughtfully, and staying grounded in what actually supports learning, leadership, and human development.

My work is shaped by years of teaching, research, mentorship, and applied practice. I am interested in what helps educators move beyond reaction and toward wiser, more intentional use of emerging technologies.
